Annual Lake Appreciation Day
Event Description:
Celebrate lakes by participating in fun, educational, and recreational activities. Show your appreciation for Barr Lake State Park through service activities. Bring your family, friends, and/or coworkers. Free park admission for volunteers! Please RSVP your participation by calling 303-659-6005.
Volunteer Service Projects from 8 am - 11 am, includes a free Barr Lake T-shirt.
Complimentary zero-waste BBQ lunch for clean-up volunteers at 11:00 am at the Meadowlark Picnic Pavilion.
Afternoon Fun Activities at the Boat Ramp Area from 12 pm - 3 pm include:
-Archery demonstration
-Face painting
-Boat demos
-Jumping castle & climbing wall
-Boat safety infromation from Colorado State Park mascot, Talon, a red-tailed hawk
-Brighton Fire Department with their boat and truck
-Various vendor booths
-Boat rides with the park rangers
-Free canoe instruction*
